OnQ™: What makes it unique?

Aerogen

Unique Advantages of OnQ Technology

  • Optimization and Customization of Aerosol Droplet Size. The OnQ Aerosol Generator delivers a low-velocity liquid aerosol of precisely defined average droplet size, with droplets ranging from one to five microns MMAD for deposition in the lung.
  • OnQ Family of Aerosol GeneratorsEase of Formulation. The OnQ Aerosol Generator uses no propellants or pressure and generates negligible heat during operation. To date, the OnQ Aerosol Generator has been evaluated with a wide range of drugs in solution and suspension, including proteins and peptides, without any observed degradation or other adverse impact on drug integrity. In many cases, existing drug formulations can be aerosolized, eliminating the need to demonstrate the stability of new formulations.
  • Flexibility of Dosing. The OnQ Aerosol Generator can be used for the administration of drugs as a single dose, or as a unit dose from a multi-dose canister.
  • Low Residual Volume. The OnQ Aerosol Generator is extremely efficient, aerosolizing nearly 100% of the liquid that comes into direct contact with the domed aperture plate. When placed inline with a medication reservoir or feed system, total residual drug volumes can be as low as 1µL of liquid
